Our Reggio Emilia Inspired Education believes that even when our Early Learning Children are not speaking, they use at least 100 languages to express themselves.
There are infinite ways that children can communicate, explore, and connect their thoughts, feelings and imaginings’ and a myriad of methods and mediums that children seek out in order to express their ideas, theories, thoughts, feelings, frustrations, discoveries, understanding and knowledge.
Our Reddford House skilled teachers accompany our children on their journey of exploration, providing diverse and visually appealing environments, open-ended resources and experiences and indirectly provoke ideas and thought processes that encourage our children to communicate through their ‘100 languages’.
Every child has infinite potential to discover, learn and communicate.
Please join us for a talk by Marianne Valentine and a Q & A with our school heads who will share their thinking and experience on Early learning and the importance of it for your children’s growth and development.
Originally from Scotland, Marianne’s interest in young children’s creativity led her to qualify as an early childhood and elementary teacher. She worked for several years in premium independent schools in Edinburgh before moving to Reggio Emilia, Italy where she has been working and living for 25 years, gaining experience as a parent, an educator, and a researcher.
The outstanding early childhood educational experience of this town significantly changed Marianne’s thinking on children, their potential, how we see them and how they learn. Eight years ago, Marianne moved into international education, working as an early childhood teacher with the International School of Europe.
She has collaborated internationally with organizations such as The International Baccalaureate, The European Council of International Schools and The Lego Foundation in South Africa. Marianne is currently Inspired Head of Early Learning, supporting the development of early childhood education and services across five continents.
