MANDARIN AT REDDFORD HOUSE

As one of ten pilot schools in Gauteng who offer Mandarin lessons, Reddford House was invited to attend a function hosted by the Chinese Embassy and the Department of Education. Mr Moses accepted a donation of books and an interactive smartboard for our school.

We have recently opened a junior Mandarin class in addition to our seniors and the children are enjoying learning a new language and a bit about Chinese culture. Proficiency in a language such as Mandarin will be a huge advantage to students in the future and we are grateful to the teachers from Confucius Classroom for this opportunity which is being offered to our students

Vusi Mbonani, REDDFORD HOUSE THE HILLS

KARATE


On 11 March, Vusi Mbonani in Grade 8 took part in Gauteng North Karate and achieved the following: Gold for Kumite (fighting) and Silver for Kata (structured fighting). He also received trophy for best Kumite Advanced boy in the under 14 age group. Well done, Vusi.
